Day 1 – Canada/Hong Kong: Begin your exciting journey to the Orient as you depart for Hong Kong via Vancouver. Typically, your routing will include a short connection in Vancouver. Sit back, relax and enjoy the inflight services!
Day 2 – Hong Kong: Cross the international dateline; arrive in Hong Kong in the evening of the next day. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 3 – Hong Kong: Take a morning tour of the Hong Kong Island. Visiting the bustling Stanley Market, beautiful beaches of Repulse Bay, heights of Victoria Peak, and the busy Aberdeen Fishing village. (B)
Day 4 – Hong Kong/Ho Chi Minh City: Today transfer from the hotel to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City, upon arrival you will be met and transferred from the airport to the hotel. (B)
Day 5 – Ho Chi Minh City: Your full day tour of Saigon starts at the Reunification Palace (during the war it was called the Presidential Palace). After catching up on Vietnamese war history, it’s on to the Notre Dame Cathedral for some peace and serenity. To finish the morning you will make stops at the Saigon Post office, Chinatown, Binh Tay market, and Thien Hau Temple to see the full view of the city. The afternoon is full of touring the underground with the amazing Cu Chi Tunnels. (B,L)
Day 6 – Ho Chi Minh City: With a full day tour, you will get a feel of the country side starting with a stop in My Tho, a peaceful town on the bank of the Mekong River (75 km south of Saigon). The tour includes a cruise on the Mekong River, visit orchards and local homes, enjoy a sampan ride on palm-shaded creeks, taste seasonal fruit & honey tea and experience a performance of traditional southern singing. A special Mekong lunch is arranged. (B,L)
Day 7 – Ho Chi Minh City: Free day to explore Saigon on your own. (B)
Day 8 – Ho Chi Minh City/Nha Trang: Today transfer from your hotel to the airport for a flight to Nha Trang. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. (B)
Day 9 – Nha Trang: In the morning, transfer to Cau Da Jetty (pier) for a day cruise to Tam Islet and Mun Islet. The water is clear and the diverse marine life is perfect for snorkeling. These islets are ideal for sunbathing. Optional activities include scuba diving, jet skiing, wind surfing & parasailing on Tam Islet. (B)
Day 10 – Nha Trang: Free day to relax on the beach. (B)
Day 11 – Nha Trang/Danang/Hoi An: Today you will transfer from your hotel to the airport for a flight to Danang. Upon arrival you will head straight into a city tour with sights of the Cham Museum, Marble Mountain, and China Beach. After lunch you will then transfer to Hoi An. Upon arrival you will embark on a Cyclo tour (pedal cab) of the town. (B,L)
Day 12 – Hoi An/Hue: To the start the day, you will go on a peaceful Hoi An walking tour. Then say goodbye to Hoi An with a drive via the Cloudy Hai Van Pass to Hue. Upon arrival into Hue you will be transferred to your hotel and then finish off the day with a special dinner at the Vuon Xinh Restaurant. (B,D)
Day 13 – Hue: Take a boat ride on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda with a 21-metre-high octagonal tower regarded as the symbol of Hue, and also visit the tombs of King Minh Mang. The monuments, designed by the kings themselves, were also used as holiday retreats during their lifetime. After lunch drive to visit the famous conical hats of Vietnam the Imperial Citadel and the Dong Ba Market. (B,D)
Day 14 – Hue/Hanoi: This morning transfer from the hotel to the airport for a flight to Hanoi, upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Once settled into your room, you will enjoy a Pedi cab ride (1 hour) around the old quarters and downtown. Here you will enjoy a puppet show and dinner. (B,D)
Day 15 – Hanoi: To get the feel of Hanoi you will go on a full day sightseeing tour which features both cultural andhistorical highlights. With stops at the Temple of Literature, the Ethnology Museum, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Ngoc Son Temple, and final stop at the Hoan Kiem Lake. (B,L)
Day 16 – Hanoi/Halong Bay/Hanoi: It’s an early start for a transfer to Halong Bay (170km from Hanoi), a World Heritage site recognized by UNESCO. Upon arrival you will board a private boat for a cruise in Halong Bay (4 hours). Visit some magical grottoes and relax in the scenic beauty of Vietnam. Lunch will be fresh seafood served on board. When returning to Hanoi you will stop-in at ceramic and hand embroidery workshops. (B,L)
Day 17 – Hanoi/Canada:Say goodbye to the Orient and depart Hanoi for flights via Hong Kong home.
Ho Chi Minh City:
