Depart Calgary in the late evening for our flights to Hanoi via Vancouver with arrival into Hanoi in the morning. After clearing airport formalities, we transfer to our hotel, Hanoi Nikko Hotel. Balance of day free.

Hanoi is one of the oldest and most charming cities in Asia with its traditional Vietnamese architecture and the French Quarter with French colonial villas and broad boulevards lined with sandalwood trees and coffee houses. Today’s full day tour of Hanoi will visit Ngoc Son Temple inside Lake Hoan Kiem, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One-Pillared Pagoda, the History Museum, the Temple of Literature, and the old quarter. A full day tour to Halong Bay in Vietnam’s Gulf of Tonkin. You will board a junk and sail along the bay amongst the 2,000 limestone islands of varying sizes rising among its emerald water. You will also visit the Dau Go cave and Thien Cung Cave. Lunch on board. Meals: B.L

This morning we fly to Danang. A tour of Danang with stops at China Beach, the Cham Museum as well as the local town. After lunch, proceed to our resort in Hoi An, Le Belhamy Hoi An Resort. Meals: B,L

A full day tour of Hoi An, a World Heritage Site , with its history of a trading post of seafaring Chinese, Japanese and Portuguese merchants several centuries ago. Meals: B,L

A full day tour of Hue, the ancient capital of Vietnam. You will visit the Imperial Citadel and its Royal Enclosure, the Forbidden Purple city. Then enjoy a boat ride up the Perfume River to Thien Mu, an ancient Buddhist temple. Lunch will be served at the Tinh Gia Vien, the best vegetarian restaurant in town. Visit Khai Dinh Royal tomb in the afternoon. Meals: B,L

Morning tour of Ho Chi Minh City, visiting War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Municipal Post Office. In the afternoon, visit Cu Chi Tunnels, famed for its 200-km. long underground tunnel system used by the guerrillas in the past two wars. Meals: B,L

Travel to Tay Ninh for the Great Caodai Holy See at noontime prayer service. You will observe a peculiar but solemn ceremony with the congregation attired in red, yellow, blue and while and chanting religious hymns. After lunch, return to Saigon. Meals: B,L

A full day Mekong Delta trip. Start the trip with a visit to My Tho, a town on the side of the Mekong River and two hour drive from Saigon. Cruise via sampan along the river through small islets and observe the daily activities of the local people. After, a visit to an orchard to observe the different agricultural activities of the area. This morning we take a wonderful temple tour to visit the lost city of the Khmer Empire: by taking an elephant ride from South Gate of Angkor Thom to famous Bayon temple then walking up to visit giant faces of famous Bayon and Baphuon temples, terraces of Elephants and Leper King and the unforgettable jungle temple of Ta Prohm. After lunch, we visit some of the more remote Angkor sites such as a cute pink stone of Banteay Srei temple and visit the nearby landmine museum. On the way back to Siem Reap town, stop to visit Pradak village to see lifestyle of local people and handicraft procedures. Meals: B, L

This morning visit floating and fishing villages in Tonle Sap Great Lake, which is one of the world’s most productive bodies of fresh water. Each year, millions of fish come to spawn in the seasonally flooded forest surrounding the lake, attracting myriad water birds as well as people, who have settled in villages along the shores and who live with the rhythms of the water. This ecosystem of extraordinary biological richness and balance between humans and nature was recently designated as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Back to town to visit Artisans D’Angkor (wood and stone carving) where you will discover the traditional Khmer techniques used for stone and wood carving. Meal: B
