Day 1. Canada/Beijing

Begin your exciting journey to magical China, via Vancouver to Beijing.

Day 2. Beijing

Cross the international dateline and arrive into Beijing. Upon arrival you will be met and

transferred to your hotel.

Day 3. Beijing

A full day tour visits Tiananmen Square, the splendid Temple of Heaven, and the Forbidden

City, home to Ming and Quing Dynasty emperors. Stroll through the parkland of the

summer palace to end your day. (B,L)

Day 4. Beijing

Today drive to the Great Wall of China. 5000 km in length; it is one of the wonders of the

world (Badaling entrance including a cable car ride). See the world-renowned Ming Tombs

and gaze at the marble thrones and fabulous royal items that were interred with the

13 emperors. (B,L)

Day 5. Beijing/Xian

In the morning, transfer to airport for a morning flight to Xian. Upon arrival you will be met and transfered to your hotel. In the afternoon, you will take in a tour to the ancient city wall and Great Wild Goose pagoda. (B,L)

Day 6. Xian

A full day tour visits Hua Qing Hot Springs, formerly a royal resort, and Banpo Village, an evocative reconstruction of a Stone Age

community. Xian was once the eastern end of the famous silk road, and known for its Terracotta Warriors; thousands of

eerily lifelike soldiers found standing guard around the emperor’s tomb. (B,L)

Day 7. Xian/Hangzhou

This morning you will transfer to the airport for a flight to Hangzhou. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon you will enjoy sites of the silk museum, Tea Farm and Liuhe Tower. (B,L)

Day 8. Hangzhou

Today you will enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Hangzhou. This city is well known for it’s natural beauty and historical heritage. Your tour will include a cruise to the West Lake, and a visit to the embellished Lingyin Temple. (B,L)

Day 9. Hangzhou/Suzhou

The day will start with a transfer by train to Suzhou; upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The ancient city, rich in its natural and man made resources, has been praised as “a paradise on earth.” To take in these resources you will tour the Silk Reeling Factory, Embroidery Research Institute, Hamshan Temple and Master of Fish Nets Garden. Day 10. Suzhou/Shanghai

This day will start with another train ride to Shanghai; upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The afternoon will be full of sites of the Yu Garden, Jade Buddha and then end the night with an evening BBQ dinner followed by Acrobat Show. (B,L,D)

Day 11. Shanghai

Free day in Shanghai to take in the fabulous shopping. (B)

Day 12. Shanghai/Canada

Say goodbye to China and depart Shanghai in the morning for flights home. (B)
